First I have to say that I took contact with Kristi of sincere interest in her beautiful, colorful and tasteful jewelry. I saw her creation first in Facebook, where Kristi has her own webpage (link) with 960 followers and her photos of different tasteful pieces caught my attention. Kristi Liiva Jewelry is quite young Estonian jewelry brand and wears the name of its creator. The interest against jewelry creation rose when Kristi was home with her baby and this interest was supported by the skills of drawing and painting which she had been engaged since childhood. Good composition and color perception, interest of fashion, jewelry and beautiful stones in general were also a good impulse for stepping into the world of jewelry.

The jewelry era for Kristi started with search of the suitable technique. This search has come to an end now as Kristi says she has found her unique style and handwriting. Semiprecious and precious stones, natural pearls, silver and other valuable materials are used by creation of Kristi Liiva Jewelry. Materials for jewelry are collected all over the world. Special attention is turned on stones which are very carefully selected and new collections are constantly completed with new stones with unique shape and look. Big favorites of Kristi are quartz, topaz, amethyst and different pearls.

Ideas for creating new jewelry are collected from fashion and many of them are coming by just playing around with stones. Some jewelry pieces are created on paper, some during the physical process by combining different stones and their colors with each other. So the creation process can take hours or even days and sometimes, if the result isn´t so perfect for Kristi, she will rework it till the best is achieved!
